Bring back the Chicago Red Stars
This is the third year for the Womens Professional Soccer League (WPSL) and as we know, the Chicago Red Stars could not bring up a team this year due to financial difficulties. Only six franchises remain this year and hopefully make profit and remain viable and that the local fans can help the league stay afloat. More youth teams need to support this league. If their players want to play in this league in the future, they need to support them. We need to support them to make USA Womens soccer stronger than ever. I see American soccer for women slowly fading away and we can't let this happen. I was given the wonderful opportunity last season to help photograph the Red Stars for Windy City Soccer. I only wish I did more and help promote the team with the power of my photos. I hope this 3rd year for the WPSL will stay alive and hope to see the Chicago Red Stars in 2012. I miss watching these women play. I myself was caught up with the action when I should have been taking those action photos. They were just as exciting as watching the mens Chicago Fire Soccer club play. I hope I get another chance to photo them again.
