American journalist and news anchor of the Fox News Channel Megyn Kelly is facing serious criticism as she made some comments on Bill O'Reilly's show on November 22 regarding the recent pepper spray assault on students at the UC Davis campus. She said that the pepper spray used on the UC Davis protesters is essentially "a food product," an online petition has popped up asking her to test it out. The petition, organized by New York resident Nick Douglas, challenges Kelly to "eat or drink a full dose of pepper spray on national television."It also states, "To back up your claim that pepper spray is a food product, please consume as much of it as was sprayed on each protestor's (sic) face, in one sitting, on camera at Fox News. You may mix the spray with one serving of food or drink, as I am not a sadist. Then, please relate the effects to your audience."
This ridiculous comment by Kelly has caused people to challenge her to undergo a good spraying to see how well she literally eats her words. She might also believe mustard gas goes well with hot dogs, ketchup is a vegetable, and Fruit of the Loom garments grow on trees.
