The Huntsville Hamfest

Well yesterday was a busy day for the Grouch. I left out at 4:30AM on the iron horse bound for Huntsville, AL. My destination was the Huntsville Hamfest, located at the Von Braun Center.

The day began with breakfast at the Embassy Suites, right next door to the hamfest. The Embassy is a very nic place.
We met many famous amateur radio operators.
Several pretty, smiling young ladies were around.
The Decatur County Amateur Radio Club was well represented.
The iron horse was busy, logging nearly 300 round trip miles.
We finished up the day by migrating to the home of Tim (KK5H) and Rhonda Holland for barbeque and fellowship. A fine time was had by all.
Huntsville and the Von Braun Center is a beautiful area. Go visit my FLICKR set to see all of my high resolution pictures of the hamfest and the Von Braun Center.
