She is widely worshiped by Hindus and devotees try hard to seek her blessings for overall growth, especially to attain wealth. 
There are some Lakshmi Mantras and Hindu prayers that are very effective. In order to invoke the blessing of Goddess Lakshmi, chant the Lakshmi mantra and pray with certain disciplinary in order to bring wealth and prosperity in your life.

Ways to invoke Goddess Lakshmi's blessings: (1) Keep your house clean; this is very necessary, as the Goddess appreciates cleanliness and visits the cleanest homes first. Light lamps in the morning and evening. (2) Decorate the puja room; this is imperative as it gives the whole atmosphere a festive feel. Lay a fresh cloth on a bench or table with a small pile of grains in the center of the cloth. (3) Place Lakshmi statue correctly. For this, place a saucer or small plate with a few rice grains on the pitcher. Sprinkle turmeric in the shape of a lotus over the rice. Place a statue of Lakshmi with a few coins over the turmeric. 
(4) Perform Ganesh puja to seek blessings for overall success. Place a statue of Ganesha to the southwest of Lakshmi on the cloth. (5) Chant Lakshmi Mantras. In order to get wealth, chant Lakshmi Mantras by offering flowers and Sprinkling water and a mixture of milk, ghee, honey and sugar on the idol. (6) Light dhoop or incense sticks, offer flowers, light, sandalwood paste, saffron paste and fragrance to the idol.

All the fortune of the world is the energy of Lakshmi Devi, the goddess of fortune. Fortune does not simply mean money. Fortune means good health, popularity, comforts in life, good friendship, good family, etc. Vijayalakshmi, the author of the article, mentions many effective ways to invoke Goddess Lakshmi's blessings. She also suggests to beautifully decorate the puja room once the house is cleaned, and then place on the cloth a metal or earthen pitcher containing five leaves, a betel nut, a flower, a coin and some rice grains. Lakshmi, or Sri when she is especially known as the goddess of beauty (though sometimes considered to be separate entities), is the Goddess of fortune, wealth, power, and loveliness. Wealth means not only money, but also the higher values and qualities of life. The power of the mind and intellect is also a must if one wants to be truly wealthy, which includes spiritual wealth. ... As the spouse of Lord Vishnu, she appears whenever He does in each of His appearances, such as Vamana, Parashurama, Rama, or Krishna. In each of these appearances, she appeared as Padma or Kamala, Dharani, Sita, and Rukmini respectively. They are inseparable. Lakshmi is also known in Her other eight forms as Veera, Adhi, Gaja, Vijaya, Dhana, Aiswarya, Santhan, and Dhanya.
