PRESS RELEASE New acting registrar of PAKISTAN MEDICAL DENTAL COUNCIL has taken a hundred percent correct decision regarding the closure of NIGHT medical college at Larkana who were initially allowed by the Executive Committee of the PMDC. The Executive Committee consists of Dr Asim Hussain, Dr Masood Hameed and Dr Sibte Hassan allowed Vice Chancellor to open shabina medical college against the rules and regulation of PMDC. It is a right decision and the Govt of Sindh should immediately close this so called night medical college and terminate the services of Vice Chancellor of Shaheed Muhtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University (SMBBU) and his supporters who are responsible for this corrupt idea. Dr. Akbar Soomro has systemically destroyed medical education in Larkana and only using university resources for his own benefit. It is disturbing to note that Chandka Medical College is facing serious shortage of faculty members in every department; the standard of medical education has decorated to its worst levels. In spite of improving the standard of medical education and clinical training the Vice Chancellor and his team was busy in establishing a night----SHABINA medical college with the collaboration of Executive Committee and Registrar of PMDC. It is also very sad that the vice chancellor and his team is trying to make this issue a nationalist cause and with irresponsibly making statement that talking against night medical college is like talking against Sindh. Night medical college is a conspiracy against the poor patients of our province and it will only compromise already decorating medical education system in Sindh and Pakistan. It's time that the Chief Minister of Sindh immediately take actions against all corrupt practices at all teaching institute in Sindh. All appointments in medical universities and colleges should be on strict merit .The PMDC election should be held in all provinces and a new Council should elect honest and upright person as its president and a new Executive Committee should make sure that all medical colleges in Pakistan follow the rules and regulation of PMDC. The new Govt of Sindh should immediately make a committee to investigate about the affairs of this night medical college. There are many students who were appeared in the entry test and paid enormous fee .They were miss guided and miss led about the functioning of night medical college.
